The CCS Therapy Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that ensures that Santa Clara County CCS patients and therapists have the resources, support, and education to achieve success in meeting the goal of maximizing children's physical, psychological, and social development. The Foundation strives to achieve this mission through the provision of resources, organizational assistance, outreach, scholarships, and supplemental clinical support.
The California Children's Services (CCS) Medical Therapy Program (MTP) is a statewide program that provides occupational therapy (OT) and physical therapy (PT) to children from birth to 21 years who have qualifying medical conditions or diseases. These are physical conditions that affect the ability to control the movements of the body. Examples include cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy and congenital orthopedic abnormalities. All services are provided free of charge to families whose child has a medically eligible condition or disease. The purpose of the MTP is to promote the greatest physical independence possible.
